I am happy to measure your piece and provide a written estimate.
Pricing on furniture varies depending upon the complexity of the piece. The low end of the estimates are for plain pieces (no cording, buttons, tufting, pattern matching, channel backs, etc.) The more specialty work your piece requires will affect the price and the amount of fabric needed. Pricing below is based on fabric purchased through Skyline Upholstery. Customers who provide their own material will be subject to a 25% surcharge of the labor cost and the fabric itself can not be covered by my guarantee.
Below are general guidelines to expect for pricing and fabric required.
Sofas: $1,100 and up (18+ yards fabric)
Loveseats: $850 and up (12+ yards fabric)
Chair and a half: $695 and up (10+ yards fabric)
Living Room Chairs/Wingbacks: $525-$650 (6+ yards fabric)
Barstools (seat and back): $170 and up (.75 yards fabric)
Dining Chair seat bottoms: $85 and up (.75+ yards fabric)
Knife edge pillow covers 18” and under: $45 and up
Should I reupholster?
Entry level Furniture: No
Mid-Level Furniture: It depends. Is it unique? A family heirloom or antique? The perfect size for your space? A hard to find piece? If you answer yes to any of those questions then you would be well served to reupholster.
High End Furniture: Yes. Quality furniture is an investment that is built well and will last a long time. Reupholstering your high end furniture is often more cost effective than purchasing new.
